Anxiety Therapy in St. Augustine, FL

Anxiety can show up in many ways — constant worry, racing thoughts, tension in your body, trouble sleeping, or a feeling that you’re always on edge. Even when things look “fine” on the outside, anxiety can quietly take over, making it hard to relax or feel present in your life.

In therapy, we take time to understand what your anxiety is communicating and how it’s been trying to protect you. Together, we slow things down and gently work toward creating more steadiness, clarity, and a sense of internal safety.

How Anxiety Therapy Can Help

Anxiety therapy isn’t about forcing yourself to “calm down” or think positively. It’s about learning to recognize patterns, understand triggers, and develop practical tools that help your nervous system feel more supported. Over time, many people notice less overwhelm, improved sleep, and a greater ability to respond to life in a healthy way, instead of react. Most importantly, therapy can help you feel more at home in your body and more trusting of yourself again.

What to Expect

In therapy, we begin by creating a sense of safety and understanding, moving at a pace that feels manageable. Sessions may include exploring patterns of worry, learning practical tools to calm the nervous system, and gently shifting how you relate to anxious thoughts. You won’t be asked to push through discomfort — instead, we work together to build steadiness, confidence, and trust in your ability to cope.

My Approach

I offer a collaborative, compassionate approach that blends practical strategies with a trauma-aware lens. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Postitive Psychology, and relational work to help you feel more grounded and confident navigating daily life.  We focus on building safety first, paying close attention to the nervous system and learning how to respond to anxiety with curiosity rather than self-criticism. Over time, this creates a steadier internal sense of control and resilience.

I offer in-person anxiety therapy for adults and adolescents in St. Augustine and online/virtual counseling.
